Our Respite services, DAS Adventures, empower you to plan your experience, allowing for opportunities to not only enjoy your getaway, but also to learn new skills and develop your independence.

Nestled within the dappled trees and low hum of city life in Hamilton is our respite home. Built in the 1920s, the cottage boasts new renovations and is the perfect home-away-from-home to work on your skills.

The cottage has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a spacious living and kitchen area with three separate porch areas wrapping around the house; providing bountiful room for outdoor activities and further skill development. The house was styled with autistic design principles; utilising furniture, artwork and colour section to create an inviting and vibrant home away from home.

During your DAS Adventure you are supported in activities of cooking, homemaking, arts and self care. With your support worker you'll be able to explore the local neighbourhood of Hamilton and beyond with easy-access public transport and travel training. You can also request for your respite take place off site such as a trip to Sydney or Nelson Bay!
