Flu Shot

The NSW Government has recently announced that they will provide FREE flu shots for the month of June only. There has been no further announcements at this time as to whether there will be an extension beyond the end of June for the free flu shot. The government has recommended that anyone over the age of 6 months of age get the flu shot.

You can get a free flu shot at GPs and pharmacies until June 30. Be sure to call your preferred GP or pharmacy ahead of time to ensure they are administering the free shots and that they also have an appointment time available for you.

Some pharmacies will allow you to book online ahead of time on your preferred date and time.

You can also use the Health Service Finder to find the nearest GP or pharmacy. Remember to first check if they are able to offer the free flu shot before going in.

Also, DAS can help support you to get your booster or flu shot.  Just reach out to your Team Leader and let us know what type of support you need.  We are encouraging all of our Support Staff to get the flu vaccine this season too!
